It has been a while since we last heard from Elextra. At the Geneva Motor Show, they announced that they will be coming with new supercar. But the designers have revealed details of the upcoming Elextra Electric supercar. Robert Palm of Elextra, told to Autocar that they have receive enough funding now so they can start with the new supercar as early as possible. The prototype of Elextra Electric Supercar will be completed by next year and is slated to launch in the year 2019. Even though the car is in early stages of development, we got to know few details of it.
The supercar will have carbon fiber tub and body which will help them to lighten the weight of it. If compared with the conventional aluminum body, Elextra Electric Supercar will be 25% less. Elextra Electric Supercar will be using two sets of high-performance motors that will produce a combine output of 670 horsepower. It will help the electric car to accelerate from naught to 62 mph in under 2.3 seconds before reaching the top speed of 250 kmph. If you find these stats unsatisfactory, then remember that the company is also promising the range of 373 miles.
Many would expect that this is another supercar that might see the light of day. But Robert Palm was adamant that this isn’t just another electric car project. He also said that the new electric car will showcase new technologies from different brands. If everything goes according to plan, only 100 units of Elextra Electric Supercar will be produced. The starting price of this electric vehicle might range between €400,000 and €500,000. The electric vehicle looks very similar to Lamborghini Aventador.
