Citroen has finally unveiled the European version of their compact SUV. Dubbed as Citroen C5 Aircross, it made its debut at last year’s Shanghai Auto Show. Citroen C5 Aircross is easily recognizable amongst the crowd because of the modularity, spaciousness, and comfort. The compact SUV will benefit from the suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions that comes as standard across all models. Advanced Comfort Seats are available which made its debut with C4 Cactus. The interior features three individual, sliding, folding and inclining rear seats. Luggage space is quite big and ranges between 580 liters to 720 liters.
Citroen C5 Aircross is going to be offered with total of 30 combinations that includes seven body colors, a black two-tone roof option and three color packs. The splashes of color are present on the front bumper, Airbump on the front doors and the roof bars. Instrument panel on Citroen C5 Aircross has large 12.3 inch TFT digital display which three graphic styles. It works in perfectly with the 8 inch infotainment system, and offers all kind of connectivity such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirrorlink. Citroen intended to make C5 Aircross relaxing drive and to achieve it they installed double-laminated front windows with an insulated layer. Citroen also inculcated extra soundproofing of the engine compartment through insulated layer.
Wide range of safety features is on offer with the Citroen C5 Aircross such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Highway Driver Assist, Collision Risk Alert, Active Safety Brake and many more. Two petrol variants will be available for European buyers, PureTech 130 S&S six-speed manual and PureTech 180 S&S eight-speed automatic respectively. Three diesel options for Europe are also available and they are BlueHDi 130 six-speed manual, BlueHDi 130 S&S eight-speed automatic and BlueHDi 180 S&S eight-speed automatic. Plug-in hybrid is set to arrive in 2019. The sale of Citroen C5 Aircross will commence from late of this year.
