When it comes to Hennessey Performance tuning work, it is almost unmatchable and they have a latest insane vehicle in their kitty. They have an upgrade package for the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 which is breath-taking. The current Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is powered with supercharged 6.2 -liter V8 engine as standard. It offers an output of 755 horsepower which is more than enough for public roads. Even on race track, it is more than enough to be content with. Nonetheless, Hennessey Performance is known to increase number and make it bigger that has been achieved with this upgrade package.
After fitting the package on the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, it was put to dyno test. The Texas based tuner noted that it gave an insane 905 horsepower at rear wheels and with a torque of 1144 Nm. If we compare these figures with stock Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, it offers 655hp and 874 Nm of torque at wheels, before Hennessey got their magical hands to it. To create HPE1000 Package, Hennessey included a new high-flow induction system, custom camshaft, ported cylinder heads, upgraded valve springs and retainers.
Additionally, there is also new intake valves, bespoke exhaust valves, upgraded lifters and pushrods, a lower pulley upgrade, stainless steel headers, and stainless steel midpipes. High-flow catalytic converters are also installed along with a tuned ECU and an upgraded 8-speed automatic transmission to handle generated power and torque. Strangely, these are not final numbers as Hennessey Performance is still working on it. But, if rumors are to be believed it will give competition to C8 Corvette Hybrid.
