The Cadillac Escala concept has been revealed in California before the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This concept display futuristic design for this luxury car brand. The name Escala refers to the Spanish word for “scale”. The Cadillac Escala is a long and large that really looks nice and attractive. This concept model is half a foot longer as compared to the CT6 sedan model. It has been built on the same mixed materials RWD platform as the CT6 sedan.
The Cadillac Escala might look like a 3 box sedan primarily. However, there is a liftback design for cargo area. The vertical and straight edged taillight look continues at the rear. This can be seen other current Cadillac sedan trunks. Cadillac’s design aesthetic is enhanced at the front of Cadillac Escala concept. There are vertical running lights and Cadillac signatures included as well. The super skinny OLED are attached deep into the narrow slits at both side of the grille.
The grille itself is a gargantuan trapezoid and the hood consists of many bold strakes that lead towards the windshield. The interior supposedly includes both a chauffeur ready back seat and a driver oriented cabin. This means a minimalist dashboard is dominated by 3 curved OLED displays. These serve as the infotainment and instruments displays. The steering wheel is minimalist as well. It has got a tiny diameter hub. The center console includes several control knobs. These are supposed to provide tactile controls to enhance voice commands and touchscreen. The Cadillac Escala concept is equipped with a biturbo V8 unit of 4.2 liter. The engine contains cylinder deactivation a swell. The company says this engine is a prototype for future models of the brand.
