Only a handful of people have got a closer look at world’s most expensive vehicle. We are talking about Bugatti La Voiture Noire that made its presence on grassy and small streets of Italy at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. La Voiture Noire has gained notoriety for several reasons. It was dubbed as successor to the Jean Bugatti’s personal Type 57 SC Atlantic that was lost in World War 2 and also its hefty price tag of $18.68 million. La Voiture Noire made its public debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show as a prototype.
However, this time it made its presence in an BMW Group organized event at appropriate place for a multi-million-dollar car. In the attached video, the supercar was projected under natural light that made it much more enticing. The video shows Bugatti La Voiture Noire as electric prototype which was revealed at Geneva Motor Show. This is the reason why the car was not producing any engine sound and brake calipers spinning with the wheels. For those who are not aware when the Bugatti La Voiture Noire will arrive, Italian automaker said that they will take around two and half years to come up with production ready version.
So, if you are expecting quad-turbo W16 8.0-liter engine with 1,500 horsepower and 1,600 Nm then you would be disappointed. The same engine can be found on Bugatti’s other models such as Divo, Chiron and Chiron Sport. At this point of time, no one knows who is the owner of this expensive vehicle. Previous report suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo was the owner, but the football superstar debunked this report.
