The price tag of Bugatti Divo commands $5.8 million and is next to impossible to own. Not only, it is expensive but this hypercar is also quite rare. However, a certain source claims that Bugatti is set to reveal a one-off hypercar which is commissioned by Ferdinand Piëch. He is former chairman of Volkswagen Group and will have a price tag of whopping $18.2 million. Interestingly, the Italian based automaker is in midst of its 110th anniversary and this one-off hypercar will be the headline at 2019 Geneva Motor Show. There is good chance that it will join recently launched Chiron Sport 110 Ans Edition.
The new hypercar might be based on Chiron and just like Divo, it will have distinctive bodywork. It is justify exorbitant pricing. For such a high price, one would find a highly modified quad-turbo 8.0 liter W16 engine that will offer an output in excess of 1,500PS. For those who are not familiar with ex-chairman Ferdinand Piëch, he served in the same post for over a decade. However, he left the company unceremoniously following power struggle in the year 2015. He left the company just before the controversial dieselgate broke out.
Nonetheless, he is a power figure in Volkswagen Group as he owns 14.7 percent of Porsche Automobil Holding SE which controls Volkswagen Group. In the year 2017, he sold his stake in the company and is no longer involved with VW group in any way. Tim Bravo, Bugatti’s head of communications refused to comment on these rumors. He stated that it is not company’s policy to comment on speculations and rumors.
