If there were any rumors regarding Brabham BT62 reaching production line then all these rumors must be shut down for good. Brabham have managed to collaborate with tech giant Microsoft that will ensure that it will go into production line. Now, Microsoft is their official technology partner and the automaker will use their enterprise system. It will help them to operate without any hiccups. Microsoft will offer Brabham with assistance in data analytics and driver development. Customers of Brabham BT62 will also be offered with performance program that uses Microsoft’s advanced cognitive technologies.
Brabham Automotive spokesperson said in a statement that it is consistent with their philosophy to inculcate mixed technology for immersive customer configuration and will be used in current and future developments. For many who don’t know, Brabham BT62 is meant for track-only usage and thus restricted to track only. Brabham BT62 is using naturally aspirated 5.4 liter V8 engine. The engine offers an output of 700 horsepower. Since, overall weight of the Brabham BT62 is less than 1000 kg, it helps in achieving power to weight ration to 730hp per tonne.
The downforce of new hypercar is 1200 kg and it makes it supremely fast. It is known that only 70 units of BT62 will be made available for the customers. Of these 70, first 35 units will pay tribute to the each of Jack Brabham’s F1 Grand Prix victories through features liveries. The remaining 35 units will be offered with customized liveries according to the wishes of the customer. The price of Brabham BT62 will start from $1.3 million.
