Many fans were disappointed with BMW 6-Series as it was neither upscale nor comfortable as the Mercedes S-Class. To compensate, BMW resurrected 8-Series which aims to gnaw away from the luxury GT segment. We must admit that it won’t be able to beat the Mercedes S-Class is every aspect, but recent reviews suggest that BMW 8-Series does a great job than the vehicle it replaces. What will make customer more enticing towards 8-Series are high quality materials, more tech and more stylish exterior and interior. Nonetheless, there is more to it than meets the eye. The price of BMW M850i xDrive is as much as the 2017 BMW M6 Coupe. The price of M850i starts from $111,900 whereas 2017 M6 Coupe starts from $113,700. As a refresher, BMW M850i is powered with 4.4 liter TwinPower Turbo V8 that offers 523hp and 748Nm of torque. The engine is mated with eight-speed automatic transmission and it is able to accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds. The top speed of M850i xDrive is limited to 155mph. BMW has concentrated more towards comfort factor in 8-Series and can be observed.

According to Doug DeMuro, BMW M850i has excellent on-board tech, but do also score in comfort department and makes it upscale alternative. However, Doug was hugely impressed with its driving.
