BMW i3S showcased at Frankfurt, to make EV more appealing

To make electric vehicle much more appealing, BMW has revealed the all new i3S. Although it may not be visually appealing, it certainly adds some oomph to the already existing i3. There are some minor difference between the i3 and i3S. BMW i3S comes with slightly larger horizontal fog light and aggressive front bumper. Apart from it, it also has distinct wheels, and adopts two-paint scheme which comprises of red and black. BMW has also dropped the height and widened the track.


These changes make it perfect for this electric vehicle to be categorized as city car. Some might feel little bit weird to see large wheels on small car, but it does give it a unique presence. The suspension is also tweaked and to make it more feasible, little bit of juice has been added too. The electric motor in the BMW i3S gives a commendable output of 184 horsepower and 269 Nm of torque. The setup enables the BMW i3S to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.9 seconds. The top speed of this electric vehicle is 99 mph.


BMW i3S and facelifted version of i3 is available for order in many markets including the United Kingdom market. The price of the base version of the i3 will start from £34,070. On the other hand BMW i3S, the pricing starts from £36,975.
