Whole world is holding their breath for the arrival of BMW M8 which is expected to be next year. However, the best model in BMW 8 Series is M850i which has been tuned by Manhart. German based tuner has over three deceased of experience with BW vehicles. Their latest project is dubbed as MH8 600. Even though BMW M850i is arrange-topping version and has M badging, it isn’t a complete M model. Nonetheless, it can stand on its own thanks to the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that offers 523hp and 750Nm of torque. However, Manhart seems to believe there is a scope for improvement.
Modification of the range topping BMW 8 Series starts from engine and inculcates software optimization package. The updated engine now delivers an output of 621hp and 870Nm of torque which is a significant improvement over the stock version. It is highly likely that it can easily overtake with respect to powertrain when compared with upcoming M8 and M8 Competition models. The output should be enough to quench the thirst of power seeking customers. Now, with engine modification finished Manhart concentrated on the exterior of the BMW 8 Series.
Apart from set of 21 inch wheels, a set of H&R lowering suspension has been included. There is also four carbon tipped tailpipes, a small carbon fiber rear slip and a carbon front splitter. Visual modification is finished off with the gold graphics across the exterior, but it is optional. Performance figure of BMW 8 Series has not been announced by Manhart, but it seems that it will be able to hot 0-62mph in less than 3 seconds. Pricing details remains a mystery for now, but we expect it would be in region of $125,000. It is $12,000 costlier than stock M850i.
