Germany based AC Schnitzer has revealed full range of tuning components for BMW 8-Series. It follows preview that was showed last year at Essen Motor Show. BMW tuning specialist have finalized engine upgrades for the Grand Tourer. The 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine present in 840d now offers 375hp and 780Nm of torque. In stock version, engine offers 316hp and 680Nm of torque. However, AC Schnitzer has something more special with M850i that would it make it more alluring. The 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged gasoline V8 in M850i is tuned to offer an impressive 612hp and 840Nm of torque. The eight-cylinder engine from factory churns out an additional 89hp and 90Nm of torque.
AC Schnitzer has also developed sports rear silencers for exhaust system that includes two exhaust flaps with two carbon “Sport”, “Sport” or “Sport black” tailpipes. In addition to it, buyers of BMW 8-Series can opt for a suspension spring kit, that decreases ground clearance by 0.75 inches. Visual upgrades have been made to the BMW 8-Series that consist of carbon front spoiler elements, front splitter, front side winglets, bonnet vents with carbon inserts, carbon side skirts, carbon rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and “Racing” fixed wing. BMW 8-Series also gains a Formula 1-style brake light at the center of the rear diffuser, rear skirt protection foil, and AC Schnitzer emblems.
Buyers can also opt between AC3 Lightweight Forged Wheels, AC1 BiColor and anthracite Alloy Wheels. Both of them are available in BiColor designs in 20-inch guises with 245/35 R20 front tires and 275/30 R20 rear tires for the AC3 and 245/35 R20 and 285/30 R20 tires for the AC1. Lastly, interior of BMW 8-Series has undergone subtle changes. Driver would notice aluminum pedals, aluminum footrest, and an aluminum key holder.
