Recently, BMW rolled out BMW 8-Series Coupe, but it seems that the lineup has not done as of yet. BMW’s chief executive during a conference call for financial performance for the year disclosed that two more bodystyles for the new flagship coupe. It will be launched next year. Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG, Harald Krüger claimed that they have an ace up their sleeves and it is a systemic expansion of their luxury segment. He further added that BMW 8-Series range is on the way with the production of new 8-Series Coupe. The market launch is scheduled for November.
The launch will be followed by Convertible and Gran Coupé along with corresponding M models by the year 2019. We already know that Coupe version consists of M850i and 840d specs and we anticipate that convertible and four-door Gran Coupe bodystyles to launch. Post the roll out of M models; we will be confronted with at least nine versions coming out of 8-Series. All these models will be coming out before the end of 2019. Don’t be surprised if BMW offers new models. Once, the completion of rollout, BMW would have replaced all outgoing 6 Series with 8-Series as top coupe.
Apart from BMW 8-Series, Harald Krüger revealed that iNEXT concept will be launched second half of next year with production spec. Other models include BMW X2, X4, X5 and X7 crossovers. Highly anticipated Z4 will also be launched next year. He added that they are following clear strategic roadmap and will remain highly flexible.
