The Audi TT RS and RS3 Sedan would gain an all new turbocharged 5 cylinder engine of 2.5 liter. Car & Driver cites a “highly reliable source” within Audi regarding this news. This is said to be an all new engine without ant similarity with the existing one. The existing engine is a 5 cylinder unit of 2.5 liter. Among the Audi TT RS and RS3 Sedan, the TT RS model will be the first one to get this engine. As per the report from a reliable source, it will be introduced in Beijing. They will use the Beijing Motor Show as a platform. The event is slated to start on 25th April, this year.
There are chances for the Audi RS3 U.S. bound sedan to switch to this engine sometime soon in future. The U.S. bound Audi RS sedan will go on sale next year as 2018 model year. This car will have the same engine which is said to produce 400 hp. The Audi TT RS and RS3 Sedan are definitely some of the awaited models. The RS sedan might get a dual clutch and 7 speed automatic gearbox. The car is said to rocket from 0-62 miles per hour in just 4 seconds. The top speed of the car will be electronically limited at 155 miles per hour. The Audi TT RS and RS3 Sedan are likely to offer great performance if the speculated engine is included. For the Audi RS sedan, the top speed could be moved on to 174 mph via an optional package.
