Audi’s most powerful convertible till date is all prepared to make its debut at the Monterey Car Week. Dubbed as Audi R8 V10 Plus Spyder, it will be showcased on 18th August. It is powered with naturally aspirated V10 engine which is also present in the R8 LMS race car. The output of this convertible is 601 horsepower and also comprises of seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch gearbox. The combination of both helps the R8 V10 Plus Spyder to accelerate from stagnant to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. This stat makes it world’s fastest convertible supercar.
Audi R8 V10 Plus Spyder has an exclusive micrommata green exterior along with black tailpipe covers, anthracite gray single frame grille, ceramic brakes, bucket seats and 19 inch wheels. An optional 20 inch is also provided and comes with host of other features. Apart from the Audi R8 V10 Plus Spyder, Ingolstadt based company will also showcase its new RS5 Coupe and R8 LMS GT3 at Pebble Beach. Audi Sport Quattro S1 will also be showcased at this marquee event. 2017 marks the 30th anniversary of S1’s record run to top of Pike Peak by Walter Rohrl.
The event will commence from 17th August and will conclude on 20th August. VIP guests will also be able to experience Audi’s exclusive driving experience at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
