Aston Martin has revealed a new Vantage Cup One-Make championship. This championship will begin from next year and is headed by R-Motorsport. They already hold Aston martin license in DTM and Blancpain GT Series. Aston Martin Vantage Cup will be initially launched in Europe in 2020 and will expand to Asia the following year. Around 25 vehicles are expected to enthrall the racing grid. Price of each unit is approximately €250,000 ($277,112). At this point, no information regarding the Aston Martin Vantage Cup has been disclosed other that it uses an upgraded version of V8-powered Vantage road car.
Florian Kamelger, head or R-Motorsport said that with introduction of Aston Martin Vantage Cup, it would be highlight for next season. He further added that the vehicle is developed and produced by Tea AF Racing will be a racing car that can hold on its own at the highest level. It certainly would be a delight for the customers competing in the race and also for the fans at the racetracks. Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Andy Palmer had few words regarding the new Aston Martin Vantage Cup. He was delighted that the their brand will continue to be represented well in international racing scene headed by R-Motorsport.
Aston Martin Vantage Cup by R-Motorsport gives an ideal opportunity for the interested customers using which they can further their motor racing ambitions. It is reported that R-Motorsport is also in discussion with DTM to have a new championship run as support series. Interestingly, they are already competing with Vantage but is a different beast thanks to the regulations imposed.
