British automaker has previewed their mid-engine supercar at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. Christened as Aston Martin Vanquish Vision Concept, it is slotted between below the Valkyrie and 003 hypercars. It will take on the likes of recently launched Ferrari F8 Tributo and McLaren 720S. Main details of the Aston Martin Vanquish Vision Concept is hidden and yet to be revealed. Nonetheless, Aston Martin confirmed that it will feature a version of new V6 that will be premiered 003 hypercar in hybrid turbo form. Even though details ofV6 is limited but to rival against the likes of McLaren 720S and Ferrari F8 Tributo, it is highly likely that it will use some form of twin-turbo or hybridization.
Aston Martin Vanquish Vision Concept won’t be using carbon fiber monocoque chassis which is found on Valkyrie and 003. In its place, they will use a bespoke bonded aluminum chassis. This platform is not only cheaper but also easier to produce unlike the carbon fiber monocoque chassis. It will allow Aston Martin to price the Vanquish Vision Concept to be priced competitive to its rival. In a statement company’s CEO Andy Palmer stated that it was a pleasure to revive Vanquish name again. He further added that Vanquish Vision Concept marks a critical point in Aston Martin history.
Andy Palmer said that their “first series production rear mid-engined supercar will be a transformational moment for the brand, for it is the car that will propel Aston Martin into a sector of the market traditionally seen as the heartland of luxury sports cars”. Design of Aston Martin Vanquish Vision Concept resembles quite a lot like Valkyrie.
