Aston Martin has partnered with British Airways which is one of the Concorde’s two flag carrying airline operators. Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde pays tribute to one of the fastest ever passenger jets. This special edition will have limited run and only 10 units will be available. The DBS Superleggera Concorde joins Vanquish S Red Arrows, Vantage Blades, and V12 Vantage S Spitfire 80 in their aviation inspired model lineup. The model is commissioned by Aston Martin Bristol and features several unique touches on the exterior.
For instance, Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde has a black tinted carbon fiber roof with jet’s silhouette graphic, British Airways color to different parts, ‘Speedmarque’ logo on the front wings and Q by Aston Martin wing badge with black enamel infill. Moreover, unique jet black painted Civial Aviation Authority aircraft identifier numbers and bespoke inspection plaques that is signed by British Airways Chairman Alex Crux and Aston Martin President and CEO Any Palmer. Aviation inspired theme continues to the interior. Hence, it features Concorde logo on the front seat facings, Mach Meter graphic in the Alcantara headliner, titanium paddle shifters made from Concorde compressor blades. There are also special sill plaques, seatbelt buckle badges made from solid aluminum and unique floor mats.
Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde uses the similar twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 engine that offers an output of 715hp and 900 Nm of torque. The setup helps it to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 211 mph. Aston Martin will donte the proceed of each car to a non-profit organization that supports under-privileged children and teaches them to fly.
