Q Division of Aston Martin has revealed a special edition DBS 59. It pays tribute to the iconic DBR1 that won 1-2 in 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959. This is one of the most proud moments for Aston Martin Lagonda (AML) motorsport history. Aston Martin DBS 59 comes with wide variety of styling cues which is reminiscence of the iconic DBR1. Aston Martin DBS 59 is available exclusively from Aston Martin Cambridge and they are taking orders. One of the standout features among the stylish Aston Martin DBS 59 is the racing green paint job which is contrasted by gloss carbon fiber trim.
There are other styling changes made to the Aston Martin DBS 59 such as number of bronze accents on the grille, spoiler and wheels. On the other hands, the wheels are supported by a high-performance braking system with bronze calipers. In the cabin, driver would find farrago of obsidian black and chestnut tan leather along with “fabric inspired by the DBR1 seat material. Other features comprises of racing green accents, bronze flourishes and embroidered backrests with the “DBS 59” logo. This is not the end of special touches with the Aston Martin DBS 59.
Aston Martin created bespoke helmet pods for the rear compartment which are wrapped in saddle leather. It can hold wide range of assortment of accessories that comes with the car. Accessories include period blue racing overalls, vintage style racing gloves and a replica 1959 racing helmet. A two-piece luggage set is also offered that matches with interior. Lastly, there is racing green car cover that has a white roundel with the car’s number. Aston Martin DBS 59 comes with 5.2 liter V12 engine that generates 715hp and 900NM of torque. Engine is mated with eight-speed automatic transmission and it helps the car to accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds. Top speed of DBS 59 is 211mph.
