Bugatti Chiron was introduced as successor to the iconic Veyron in the year 2016 at Geneva Motor Show. It has been three years and French car manufacturer have delivered around 180 examples to respective customers. Now, Bugatti has disclosed that less than 100 units of Chiron hypercar are still available for sale. According to Car and Driver, 46 units out of 180 units have home in North America and further three years of production needs to be taken into account. Bugatti’s Communication Director, Tim Bravo said that less than 100 out of 500 units are still available.
In other words, anyone who places their order for any one of the 100 units of remaining Chiron won’t be able to take delivery until the year 2022 at the earliest. Buying such rare hypercar isn’t just expensive proposition, but also takes lot of patience as is evident in this case. Cedric Davy, who is Bugatti North American marketing manager said that Chiron buyers usually send around $350,00 for extra optional. It may not sound surprising to many as price of the vehicle starts from $2,998,000 in US and for Limited Edition Chiron Sport, price is set at $3,260,000.
Bugatti Chiron Sport was introduced at 2018 Geneva Motor Show and Bravo said that they are building more Sports models than regular Chirons. Both the models use quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine that generates an output in excess of 1,500hp. However, Sport version features aerodynamic elements and tweaked suspension and torque-vectoring systems for crisper handling. It seems that remaining 100 Chirons will be offered as limited edition which also happened with Veyron.
