Under the hood of Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, there is naturally aspirated 4.7 liter V8 engine that offers 450hp. The engine is mated with transaxle single-clutch six-speed transmission complemented by aluminum paddles on the steering wheel. It helps in achieving optimal weight distribution. Chassis of Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is unique and is made up of a steel central section that has carbon-fiber bonded to it for the passenger compartment along with steel subframes front and rear. The car is tipped at 1585kg thanks to the usage of carbon fiber on the bodywork. Incidentally, it is 300kg lighter than the Maserati GranTurismo.
