2018 Lincoln Navigator is a luxurious SUV and it competes against the likes of Range Rover SVR and Mercedes-AMG G-Wagon. Till now, we have no tuning company that offers performance upgrades to the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. It is about to change as Hennessey Performance if the first aftermarket company to came up upgrades for the redesigned Navigator. In this post, Hennessey Performance shows Lincoln Navigator being tested on the dyno. In standard version, 2018 Lincoln Navigator uses twin-turbo 3.5 liter V6 unit. It offers 450hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. As the figure suggest, this luxurious SUV is quite swift.
Nonetheless, Hennessey Performance is not content with output of the stock version. So, Texas based tuning company equipped SUV with new engine software, a high-flow induction system, stainless steel exhaust, and an enlarged front-mounted intercooler. Because of these modifications, tuned Lincoln Navigator now offers 600hp at 6,000rpm. It able to hit 60mph from drop dead position in 4.8 seconds and to accelerate quarter a mile in 12.9 seconds at 107mph. Hennessey Performance is also offering optional upgrades such as Brembo front and rear brakes, lowering kit, and 22 inch Monoblock wheels Performance tires.
Despite of increased power, the engine doesn’t make too much sound as it evident from the attached video. In a statement, President and company founder, John Hennessey said that it will have same upgrades as the company’s VelociRaptor 600. Tuned 2018 Lincoln Navigator will come with 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty. In the first year, only 200 units of will be made available which will make it highly exclusive. Orders can be placed directly to Hennessey and also through authorized Hennessey Lincoln dealers.
