Lexus has introduced 2021 LC 500 Convertible at 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible features a folding fabric roof and will go on sale from next year as 2021 model year. LC 500 Convertible is quite similar to its coupe sibling apart from a revised rear deck. Engineers have done their best to improve chassis rigidity and extra braces. Lexus has also tweaked with front suspension to reduce unsprang weight that improves structural rigidity at the back by reshaping and relocating suspension braces. 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible is being offered several exterior color options. It includes Ultra White, Smoky Granite, Liquid Platinum, Atomic Silver, Obsidian, Caviar, Infrared, Cadmium Orange, Flare Yellow, and Nightfall Mica.
Aforementioned fabric roof is four-layered and hides the frame underneath the material. It can be operated within 15 seconds to open and 16 seconds to close at speed up to 31 mph. Lexus played around with HVAC system to adjust interior temperature whenever top is up or down. Moreover, neck heaters are offered for this variant. With respect to powertrain in 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible, it is similar to coupe. Hence, buyers would receive V8 engine that generates 471hp and 540 Nm of torque. A limited run of 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible dubbed as Inspiration Series would be made available. Only 100 units will be offered and it features a Structural Blue exterior with a blue roof and gray trim around the body. Interior consist of white, semi-aniline leather interior. First Lexus LC 500 Convertible will be auctioned in Scottsdale by Barrett-Jackson.
