Kia Motors is targeting the mid-size sedan segment with their all-new Optima. It was unveiled in its home country where it will go on sale from next month. It will be known as K5 in South Korea and has adopted a sleek exterior. The six-generation Optima features a new interpretation of Tiger Nose Grille, muscular bonnet, slender headlamps with integrated DRLs that run back between the hood and front fenders. Aggressive lines on 2021 Kia Optima runs across the entire length and side whereas there is also a new lighting signature at the back. These redesigned taillights are complemented by an LED light strip.
Boot lid, rear bumper, and diffuser with incorporated exhaust tips are also new and the roofline is more arched towards the rear. These changes give it a sportier look than its predecessor. Customers can opt between a wide selection of wheels that ranges from 16 to 19 inches in size. Dimensions of 2021 Kia Optima are 193.1-inch long, 73.2-inch wide, it is now 2-inches longer and 1-inches wider. Height of the vehicle is dropped by 0.8-inch and stands at 56.9-inches. Wheelbase is also extended to 112.2-inch from 110.4-inch.
Interior of 2021 Kia Optima is kept hidden but official sketches reveal major changes. The widescreen display is situated in the middle of dashboard, next to digital instrument cluster. Center console is fully redesigned and so is the multi-functional steering wheel. 2021 Kia Optima for American and European would be identical and might launch next year. Kia might reveal the new model at 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, but we are not sure.
