Toyota has updated Prius for 2020MY and comes with revised grade structure and an addition of 7-inch infotainment system. It supports Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa along with Toyota Safety Connect as standard. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support Android Auto compatibility. 2020 Toyota Prius will be offered in three trims for the front-wheel drive models. These are L Eco, LE, XLE and Limited. Moreover, AWD-e variant will be offered in LE and XLE. Toyota Safety Connect Suite consist of features such as Emergency Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Locator, Roadside Assistance and Automatic Collision Notification as standard with three years of free subscription.
The aforementioned 7-inch infotainment system boasts a six-speaker audio system, three USB ports and one auxiliary audio jack. There is also advanced voice recognition, Bluetooth, phone book access and music streaming, Siri Eyes Free and a backup camera. L Eco variant in the 2020 Toyota Prius is most fuel-efficient member as it returns 58 mph city, 53 mph highway and 56 mpg combined as per EPA. Hybrid powertrain combined a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with two motor generators and battery pack. 2020 Toyota Prius LE trim comes with Smart Key, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Intelligent Clearance Sonar with Intelligent Parking Assist.
If buyers upgrade to XLE, they will get 17-inch alloy whereas XLE AWD-e offers 15-inch alloy. Additionally, there is SofTex-trimmed seats that includes 8-way power and heated front seats and wireless phone charging. Range-topping version Limited adds 11.6-inch infotainment screen with navigation and a premium JBL audio system, Adaptive Front Lighting, System with auto-leveling headlamps and others. Toyota Safety Sense is an amalgamation of driver assistance systems as standard across the range. This system consists of Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams and Full-Speed Rage Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
