Seat introduced their firs electric vehicle in form of 2020 Mii. Seat Mii is the last in Volkswagen Group’s trio of city cars to gain all-electric variant. It begins the way for more electric vehicles and PHEV to join the future lineup including all-electric Seat el-Born. Last month, Skoda Citigoᵉ iV was unveiled to the world. Among all this, introduction of 2020 Seat Mii brings an end to the internal combustion engines. Production of ICE will end by the month of July. It will be available in European markets by first quarter if 2020. It is alleged that it will be most affordable electric vehicles.
2020 Seat Mii EV shares the electric powertrain with the Skoda compatriot. 2020 Mii consist of electric motor that offers an output of 82hp and 212 Nm of instant torque. Powertrain is linked to single speed transmission and helps the Mii electric vehicle to sprint from 0 to 31mph in just 3.9 seconds. According to Seat, this is quite important as it will help this electric city car to jump out of the traffic with ease. The electric motor is supported with 36.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that gives driving range of 161.5 miles on a single charge based on WLTP test cycle.
Exterior of 2020 Seat Mii is not quite different from the gasoline version. Few changes have been made such as introduction of “electric” lettering at the rear, “electric” stickers on the side and 16-inch alloys in matte Cosmo Grey. The cabin of 2020 Seat Mii gets new dashboard, ambient lighting, heaed seats, and also leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake. Set of standard safety tech features are included such as Land Assist and Traffic sign recognition. It is also brand’s first model to include Seat Connect that gives remote access and management of the vehicle from smartphone app.
