Range Rover unveiled new premium SUV Evoque. 2020 Range Rover Evoque seems like a little sibling of the Velar. The 2020 Evoque retained its current’s model sport design and is also not bigger than outgoing model. However, it offers more space for passenger, especially at the back because of the new mixed-metal Premium Transverse Architecture. Cargo space has been increased by six percent and now offers 1,430 liters when the rear seats are folded down. There are many Velar inspired features such as narrow front grille, slim headlights, and identical front air intakes. Price of 2020 Range Rover Evoque in UK will start from £31,600.
Interior of 2020 Range Rover Evoque is also inspired from Velar. It has optional dual screen layout on the center console, and a fully digital instrument cluster. There is also 16-way seat controls and cabin air ionization. Land Rover is also offering number of customization options that would create a serene environment for passengers. The latest premium SUV is lot stiffer than the outgoing model by 13 percent. Because of this, noise and vibration levels have been decreased significantly. To reduce environment impact, about 33kg of natural and recycled materials was used for construction of new components for 2020 Range Rover Evoque.
Land Rover is introducing first-ever mild-hybrid that stores energy during deceleration stores in battery pack under the floor. 296hp mild-hybrid system comes with 48 volt battery. ICE shuts down when speed is below 11mph when driver applies brake. When acceleration is required, stored engine is redeployed. This powertrain works with nine-speed ZF automatic transmission and is quieter and more refined than standard ICE. 2020 Range Rover Evoque will be offered with turbo-four gasoline engine that offer 246hp, more units to follow. All-wheel drive system would be standard and also Terrain Response system. Six driving modes for 2020 Range Rover Evoque are General, Eco, Sand, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Ruts, and Auto. US spec for 2020 Range Rover Evoque will be revealed at Chicago Auto Show.
