Porsche has finally revealed all-electric Taycan and for the first time we got the chance to get up close in a video released by Top Gear. Design of the new Taycan is heavily influenced by aerodynamics. 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo has a drag coefficient of 0.22. Such low figure is achieved through sleek exterior design along with use of a completely flat underbody that manages to cover the rear suspension components. Even the design of wheels plays a contributing factor to improve aerodynamic and cooling ducts. It automatically closes when they are not required.
Interior of 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo is stunning and judging by first impression, it looks much more premium than its direct rival Tesla Model S. To start off, there is a 16-inch wide curved instrument cluster which is new in this segment. Middle of the dashboard gets a conventional touchscreen from where configuration of drive models and radio stations can be changed. Underneath is a third display for climate control. Lastly, there is an optional fourth touchscreen display ahead of the front-seat passenger.
2020 Porsche Taycan is available in two versions which are Turbo and Turbo S. Both these versions feature two electric motors, one at each axle and delivers identical 616 horsepower. However, when overboost, Taycan Turbo offers an output of 671hp and Taycan Turbo S jumps to an impressive 750hp. 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo will on its full glory at next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
