We have talked a lot about Porsche’s new 911 (992) and now, it’s time to get in first videos. The review came from Chris Harris of Top Gear fame. He drove the 2020 Porsche 911 on Hockenheim track in Germany. Chris Harris said that driving 2020 911 is just like driving the old model. He concluded that it can be branded as facelifted model rather than an all-new model. This statement might be controversial for few, but there are only few little things that can be branded as disappointing. Nonetheless, Chris Harris heaped praised on 2020 Porsche 911 as you would find in the attached video.
The aspect which impressed Chris the most is the engine. 2020 Porsche 911 is powered with new twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter inline-six engine. He loved the soundtrack of it and even compared with Porsche 996. Another interesting feature which was impressive was lag of turbo engine is almost subtle and won’t realize it. The model Chris Harris drove was 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S which offers an output of 444 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.
The new Porsche 911 is undoubtedly quite fast and is encompassed by PDK transmission. However, new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission was too smooth for Harris. In Sport mode, it lacked any drama during shifting. The entire review of 2020 Porsche 911 was filmed on a track from Top Gear. Nonetheless, we have added another video from YouTube up-loader Mr JWW who got to drive it on the road. To conclude, new Porsche 992 is a perfect evolution of 991.
