Mercedes are teasing the 2020 CLA before its full unveiling. In the latest teaser, Mercedes-Benz have showcased interior of the vehicle. 2020 Mercedes CLA will be premiered at 2019 CES which goes to show it have few interesting new techs. It is reported that it will be of MBUX infotainment system which made its debut with A-Class last year. In the teaser, partial revel of the infotainment system along with center console was spotted. Inside the cabin of 2020 Mercedes CLA, a function called Interior Assistant was revealed. In simple words, it will detect driver’s hand movement and automatically trigger the dome light.
We are unsure if this feature works when in motion, but we expect to be functional when the car is in static position. Top of the dashboard of the passenger side we can see “Edition 1” badging, it goes to show that we are looking at limited edition CLA “Edition 1”. This limited edition will be sold for model’s first 12 months. Just like other Mercedes special edition models, A-Class Sedan Edition 1 and the GT 63 S Edition 1, it will come with more equipment and additional styling tweaks, provided buyers are willing to shell out extra dollars for it.
2020 Mercedes CLA won’t be the only four-door entry-level model, as the company plans to bring A-Class sedan. 2020 Mercedes CLA will go on sale later this year and promises to bring forth same engine to that of A-Class. Derivatives of A35 and A45 will be made available in Europe and North America. However, diesel models won’t be hitting US market.
