The current Mercedes SL is slowly coming to an end eventual end. To celebrate it, Mercedes-Benz launched SL 500 Grand Edition at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. 2020 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 Grand Edition was unveiled online few weeks back and will be available in SL 400 and SL 500 variant. With respect to changes, there aren’t many but there are some changes that help SL 500 stand out among the other SL variant. 2020 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 and SL 400 Grand Edition comes in Designo Diamond White Bright with various tones of grey, and Obsidian Black.
Exterior upgrades include high-gloss chrome and matte silver finish on the front bumper and side skirts. The displayed 2020 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 Grand Edition doesn’t look out of the box when it comes to exterior. However, we notice it rides on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear AMG 10-spoke wheels. Nonetheless, the interior of this special edition is talked about a lot. It is dominated by Designo Tundra Brown Pearl leather and can be seen on the seats and steering wheel. Overall, seating inside the vehicle will be pleasurable experience.
In addition to all these changes, there is also black Nappa leatherte on the various grip zones and the Mercedes-Benz Airscarf neck-level heating system. The cabin being sporty and elegant befits of SL variant which sits just below SL 63 from AMG. Under the hood of 2020 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 Grand Edition, there is 4.6 liter V8 engine. It offers an output of 455hp and 700Nm of torque. On the other hand, SL 400 Grand Edition is powered with 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine that delivers 367hp and 500Nm of torque.
