Mercedes-AMG has introduced high-performance wagon in form of a new CLA 45 Shooting Brake. 2020 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Shooting Brake is powered turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that offers an output of 382hp and 480 Nm of torque. Engine is mated with eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system. The setup helps the wagon to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds and reaches limited top speed of 155 mph. Buyers can also opt for a more powerful version which is the S variant. This variant features an upgraded engine and offers 415hp and 500 Nm of torque.
With the help of extra power grunt, it hits 62mph from stagnant position in just 4.0 seconds flat. Top speed of S variant also jumps to 168 mph. Performance changes aren’t just limited to engine compartment as the 2020 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Shooting Brake is equipped with an aluminum shearing plate, a strut tower brace and additional reinforcing plates. Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Shooting Brake model also consists of AMG Torque Control, a sport-tuned suspension and a high-performance braking system with AMG-branded calipers. Additionally, there is also an electro-mechanical sports steering system and an AMG Dynamic Select system with a variety of different modes.
Styling of the new CLA 45 Shooting Brake is quite similar to A 45 and CLA 45. Hence, it features a Panamericana grille to distinguish itself from the mainstream A35 Shooting Brake. It has an aggressive front fascia that includes an integrated splitter. On the back, there is ventilated rear bumper, a sport diffuser and four tailpipe exhaust system with tips that measures up to 90 mm in diameter. Cabin of 2020 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Shooting Brake has microfiber and faux leather sport seats with red contrast stitching. Two-tone black trim is enhanced by design red seat belts, high-gloss black trim and chromed air vents with red accents. S variant is quite similar, but it swaps red accents for yellow. Regardless of version, both the models are equipped with MBUX infotainment system that features AMG-specific displays. It also sports a digital instrument cluster and voice recognition technology.
