Production of Mazda MX-5 Miata has entered into 31st year of production and for 2020MY it will receive several updates. The model is sold as roadster in its home country. 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata was previewed last month at Tokyo Motor Show and will be available to order in their home market from 5th of December. It will be sold in other market by the early 2020. For now, it has been confirmed for Australia but there is no official word for its European and US availability. One of the main updates in the 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata is the new Polymetal Grey Metallic exterior paint. The same was seen earlier this year on the new Mazda3 hatch.
The new color is said to fuse hard appearance of the metal with the characteristic glossy smoothness of plastic. By this way, 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata body flow is highlighted. Japanese Mazda Roadster also gets an optional Silver Top specification that consist of a grey soft top, body-color mirror caps and 16-inch aluminum wheels in bright glossy finish. Interior materials of 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata has been revised with RF models getting Burgundy Nappa leather combined with light grey stitching for a more luxurious ambience. Change are also made to Tan and Black optional leather upholsteries that improves comfort and giving it a sportier appearance along with stainless steel scuff plates. Moreover, all models incorporate a new-look key fin and Mazda badging along with night pedestrian detection function for Advanced Smart City Brake Support system. 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata is being offered with two gasoline engine choices which are SkyActiv-G 1.5 or SkyActiv-G 2.0 four-cylinder mated with six-speed manual or automatic transmission respectively.
