At the ongoing Detroit Auto Show, Lexus showcased their new RC F Track Edition. This limited production model is focused towards lightweight track-focused variant of RC F. It is developed with inputs from Hyundai’s racing teams in IMSA and Super GT. Power in 2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition comes from naturally aspirated 5.0 liter V8 engine. It churns out an output of 472hp and 536Nm of torque. Engine works in conjugation with eight-speed automatic transmission. Nowadays, it is quite uncommon to see naturally aspirated engine on supercars.
2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition features Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, a carbon fiber front splitter, roof, hood, bumper reinforcement and rear seat partition. There is also fixed rear wing that adds 58kg of downforce. With the usage of carbon fiber components, the vehicle saves 80kg. The overhaul setup helps the car to accelerate from stagnant to 60 mph in 3.96 seconds. The above can be achieved when Launch Edition is involved. Nonetheless, one of the most interesting aspects is the increased cornering agility.
With respect to exterior, buyers can opt for two exclusive color options Ultra White and Nebula Gray respectively. The interior is prominent with red leather interior and boasted by Alcantara seats and carbon fiber trim on the doors and dashboard. 2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition will go for production by second quarter of this year and pricing will be revealed later.
