Last week, Kia released a teaser of their upcoming Soul top end of the rear of the vehicle. In the latest teaser, Kia gave more details of the 2020 Soul by showcasing the side profile along with interior design. 2020 Kia Soul will make its debut on 28th November at Los Angeles Auto Show. US buyers would be able to pace their order in first half of 2019. They would benefit from more technology along with advanced driving assistance systems. Other benefits customers would get are increased cargo space, and rugged X-Line version that will go along with LX, EX, S and GT-Line versions.
An all-electric version of Kia Soul will also join the lineup later. However, it will be available in selected markets with certain retails for a limited time. If customers can’t wait then they would have to be content with naturally aspirated 2.0 liter petrol unit or turbocharged 1.6 liter engine. An optional seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox will be made available which is controlled by rotary dial setup for the latter. We still are unsure if Soul EV will make its way to this year’s LA Auto Show. Nonetheless, when it arrives Soul EV will feature 64kWh battery that gives range of 248 miles on single charge.
2020 Kia Soul will retain its boxy design but will have rounded nose that gives it a sleeker look at the front. If Kia decides to incorporate black trim, the roof would look floating. D-Pillar also seems to have steeper slant when compared with current model. New teaser also gives a glimpse of the interior of 2020 Kia Soul. It shows that infotainment system will be larger and has less trim separating it from HVAC vents. Leather steering wheel is wrapped piano black with aluminum inlays. Digital instrument cluster and heads-up display are other noticeable features. Yellow trims adorn the door panels.
