Two of the 2020 Karma Revero GT models is honouring the iconic P-51 Mustang by wrapping itself with the same livery. This single engine fighter place was built in the year 1940 in Inglewood, California. Both the models feature wraps and calipers that us inspired by aircraft’s red, yellow, grey and silver design. They were on display at this weekend at Fontainebleau Miami Beach in Florida. Just like the P-51, 2020 Karma Revero GT wishes to have excellent speed and extended range. 2020 Karma Revero GT is able to hot 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds. It is a full second quicker than its predecessor.
Power in the four-door GT comes from anew TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder inline engine sourced from BMW. It is meant for powering on-board electric generator and enhance overall performance. Moreover, dual electric motors offer an output of 528hp and with the help from 28kWh mid-mounted lithium-ion battery, it generates up to 80 miles of all-electric driving range. Total combined with on-board generator is 360 miles. These two specially wrapped 2020 Revero GT will be on road for nine days. It will travel from Miami, Florida to Austin, Texas.
2020 Revero GT is direct successor to the old Fisker Karma and plans to position itself to compete against Tesla Model S. However, its powertrain is not fully electric as mentioned above but the company claims that they will use internal combustion engine as a range extender. Hence, the vehicle will offer customers the “best of two worlds”. It promises to achieve that by extending EV capability without range anxiety.
