Hyundai has launched new version of Velostar in Australia. It retains 2+1 body style of its predecessor. Hyundai is offering three trims which are Velostar, Turbo and Turbo Premium. Price of these trims are AUD $29,490, AUD $35,490 and AUD $38,990 respectively. All the mentioned trims come with several standard connectivity and safety features. For instance, there is reversing camera with dynamic guidelines, LED DRLs, Reverse Parking Distance Warning system and tire-pressure monitoring. Now, if buyers want upgrade to 2020 Hyundai Velostar Turbo, they would receive 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and DAB+ digital radio.
Turbo trim also gains High Beam Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning. Now, if seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, then it would be priced from AUD $38,490. For this price, buyers would also Smart Cruise Control, an upgraded camera and City/Urban/Interurban/Pedestrian Forward Collision Avoidance Assist. Lastly, there is 2020 Hyundai Velostar Turbo Premium that adds a full-width glass sunroof, heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, head-up display, wireless charging pad along with heated and ventilated front seats.
Metallic paint option is available across all trim levels and is priced at AUD $595. However, the flagship spec can be ordered with two-tone roof for a price of AUD $1,000. Base model of 2020 Hyundai Velostar is powered with naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four unit offers 147hp and 180Nm of torque. It can be mated with either standard six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic. The other two grades get turbocharged 1.6-liter unit offering 201hp and 265Nm or 275Nm of torque with over-boost. Engine can be mated with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
