Hyundai has been promising for some time they will have new SUV that will not only be spacious but also have several techs. Palisade is the largest SUV in Hyundai’s lineup till date and even tops Santa Fe XL. 2020 Hyundai Palisade will compete against the likes of Ford Explorer, Subaru Ascent, Honda Pilot and others. Hyundai is vying to attract buyers who were put off by the smaller size of Santa Fe XL. The new Hyundai Palisade is an eight-seater, but a captain’s seat second-row opt can turn it into a seven-seater. This mid-size SUV is 196.1 inch long, 77.8 inch wide and 68.9 inch tall. Wheelbase measures 114.2 inch long and match Nissan Pathfinder.
What makes 2020 Hyundai Palisade stand out among its crowd is the style, high quality interior and several techs. Since, it is related to Kia Telluride, there are many similarities between the two. Hyundai Palisade has body front fascia which is quite similar to Santa Fe and thus incorporates large and imposing cascading grille bordered by two-tier headlights. Side profile reflects huge size of this SUV especially with length of rear doors and generous roofline. 2020 Hyundai Palisade sits on 20 inch wheels and strangely, has drag coefficient of 0.33 which is impressive for a massive vehicle. It is achieved by aerodynamic tweaks on rear wheels aero deflectors and underside panels.
The rear features pair of LED taillights which is distinctive from Santa Fe. Interior of 2020 Hyundai Palisade comprises of seven USB, 16 cup holders, and all the latest technology from Hyundai. There is also 10.25 inch touchscreen, 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless charging. 2020 Hyundai Palisade is powered using 3.8 liter V6 unit that offers around 291hp and 355Nm of torque. Engine is mated with eight-speed automatic transmission and will be offered with 2WD and 4WD options. 2020 Hyundai Palisade will go on sale in US by summer of 2019.
