Hyundai has officially unveiled first images of their 2020 Grandeur. Pre-sales of 2020 Hyundai Grandeur have already begun in South Korea which will be followed by launch later this month. With regards to facelifted, 2020 Grandeur is quite substantial as it covers exterior, interior, new powertrain and also different dimensions. Hyundai has already discarded Grandeur in the United States where it was sold as Azera. However, the flagship sedan continues to be sold in South Korea and gets several updates when compared to the vehicle which was launched in the year 2016. Price of 2020 Hyundai Grandeur starts from 32.94 million won in their home country. Only a handful of photos of 2020 Hyundai Grandeur are released, but we can make out that new facelift version has new face with grille and headlights that forms a single structure. It has unique front design which we first saw on Hyundai’s Le Fil Rouge concept and debut in this production version. Changes in rear of 2020 Hyundai Grandeur are that radical, but few changes have been made. For instance, there is new taillamps which stretches across the entire width of the car.
2020 Hyundai Grandeur follows company’s new “Sensuous Sportiness” design language which can be seen on new Sonata. 2020 Hyundai Grandeur is now longer (196.5-inches) and 0.4-inches wider. Wheelbase has grown by 1.6-inches that results in spacious cabin, especially for back seat passengers. Interior looks more luxurious thanks to dashboard’s elongated horizontal design that features 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch center display as a continuous unit. 2020 Hyundai Grandeur also gains a new touch-controlled air condition unit. Additional changes consist if redesigned steering wheel and shift lever that replaces center console buttons. The sedan is now much quieter with help of strengthened lower body, thick rear glass and insulation. Grandeur has a fine dust sensor and a micro fiber that gives clean air to its passengers.
Four engine options are available with 2020 Hyundai Grandeur and includes two new units. They are 290hp 3.3-liter V6 and 300hp 2.5-liter SmartStream four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline unit. The latter unit optimizes fuel injection by selecting either MPI (Indirect injection) or GDi (Direct injection) depending on rpm and speed. Additional powertrains are an improved 2.4-liter hybrid and a 3.0-liter LPi running on LPG. Several safety features are available on 2020 Hyundai Grandeur. This includes Safe Exit Assist, Remote Smart parking Assist (RSPA), parking Collision-Avoidance Assist-Reverse (PCA-R), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist-Junction Turning (FCA-JT) and others.
