According to latest order guide of the 2020 C8 Corvette revealed that customers can purchase the vehicle with a bespoke VIN. Cars Direct reported that customers can request the last 5 digits of their C8 Corvette’s VIN to be customized. However, Chevrolet said that not all VINs will be made available for customization and those which are available will subject to availability.
Personalization of VIN for 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette won’t be cheap. This option will be priced for massive $5,000 that translates to $1,000 for each custom digit. There is no denying that it is a lot of money considering the car has a starting price of less than $60,000. Buyers who are out there for 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette would prefer to spend that kind of money on customizing car’s exterior and interior. Official online configurator for C8 was unveiled last week but the tool didn’t disclose pricing details of the car. However, we are pretty certain that $5,000 can go a long way in making one Corvette stand out among crowd.
Chevrolet is offering 2020 C8 Corvette in 12 different color options with six wheel designs. Moreover, trim level packages dubbed as 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT respectively are being offered along with three different seat designs. Corvette can also be equipped with a number of different graphics but it needs to be seen how buyers are going to take it into consideration. Mid-engine Corvette is powered with a new, mid-mounted 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine that pumps out 490hp and 630 Nm of torque. With an optional Z51 Performance Package, output is increased to 495hp and 637 Nm of torque. Manual transmission has been shelved and eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is offered as standard.
