Over the past decade, automakers have been struggling to make a mark with three-row crossover. Cadillac seems to fill the gap with their new XT6. 2020 Cadillac XT6 set to debut at 2019 North American International Auto Show; it is a three row CUV which is slotted between smaller XT5 and Escalade. The CUV has unique design as it flaunts Escalade inspired grille which is accompanied by standard LED headlights. Designers have also added vertical LED daytime running lights and several “bright galvano” accents. If we move further back, there is it has bit of generic styling that has been broken up by large greenhouse.
The design of 2020 Cadillac XT6 isn’t extraordinary but it does possess a strong shoulder, sloping roof and 20-inch alloy wheels. One could also find tailgate-mounted spoiler, distinct taillights and a dual exhaust system. If buyers are looking for more aggressive option they can opt for XT6 Sport. 2020 Cadillac XT6 Sport features black mesh grille, clear taillights and sportier bumper. This variant also has unique exhaust and 21-inch wheels. Cadillac didn’t reveal any information regarding the interior, but it will follow the footsteps of XT5. Drivers would spot wood or carbon fiber trim and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Luggage space of 2020 Cadillac XT6 is 356 liters but when second and third rows are folded down it increases to 2,228 liters.
The cabin of 2020 Cadillac XT6 has several luxurious features such as semi-aniline premium leather upholstery, heated / ventilated front seats and heated second row seats. Buyers can also order air ionizer and Cadillac’s first Bose Performance Series sound system with 14 custom-tuned speakers. Power in 2020 Cadillac XT6 comes from 3.6 liter V6 engine that is rated at 310hp and 373Nm of torque. It works in conjugation with nine-speed automatic transmission that transfers power to front wheels. AWD is available as standard with XT6 Sport and as an option for XT6 Premium. It has many safety features such as automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning and park assist. It will go on sale from Spring and pricing details will be revealed later.
