BMW have officially revealed M2 CS and also disclosed details about the coupe. 2020 BMW M2 CS will make its debut at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show. BMW M2 CS will be powered with a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder that offers an output of 444hp (450 PS) and 550 Nm of torque. Engine can be mated with either six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. When manual gearbox is used, 2020 BMW M2 CS is able to accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.0 seconds before reaching top speed of up to 174 mph.
When 2020 BMW M2 CS is used with dual-clutch transmission, acceleration figure of 0-60mph is reduced by 0.2 seconds but top speed remains the same. 2020 M2 CS is not only powerful than M2 Competition, but it also features Active M Differential and an Adaptive M suspension. The latter is all-new to M2 lineup and this features Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ modes. Now, if we talk about stopping this powerful vehicle, buyers would be glad to known that it has high-performance braking system. This features six-piston calipers and 15.7-inch disc up front and four-piston calipers and 15-inch disc at the back.
Divers who are eager to bring 2020 BMW M2 CS on the track can opt for M Carbon Ceramic Brakes. This marks the first time it is being offered on M2 and BMW claims that they are lighter than standard brakes and offers increased thermal resistance capabilities under extreme track driving conditions. 2020 M2 CS has several carbon fiber reinforced plastic components and can eb found on hood and roof that not only reduces weight but helps in reducing center of gravity. Four color options available are Alpine White, Misano Blue Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic and Hockenheim Silver Metallic. 2020 BMW M2 CS will go into production in March and will be available for one model year. Pricing in Germany starts from €95,000 whereas UK buyers would have to shell out £75,320.
