Bentley has unveiled third-generation four-door Flying Spur. 2020 Bentley Flying Spur was built from scratch and is targeting those buyers who are looking for luxury and finesse and triumphs Audi A8 W12. With respect to design, not much has changed in the 2020 Flying Spur but certainly looks like an evolution from its predecessor. Nonetheless, upon closer inspection, fans would notice 2020 Bentley Flying Spur has many resemblances to latest Continental GT as it shares same platform and underpinnings. Bentley describes 2020 Flying Spur as “the world’s most advanced luxury Grand Touring sports sedan.” By making that statement they want to cover all the bases.
2020 Bentley Flying Spur combines luxury of a limousine and performance of sports sedan. Hence, it has adopted cutting-edge customer-focused technology and is evident by new and advanced aluminium and composite chassis along with 48-volt active anti-roll bars. For instance, there is Electronic All-Wheel Steering for the first time on a Bentley, combined with Active All-Wheel Drive and Bentley Dynamic Ride for “phenomenal handling and ride.” Additionally, there is also new suspension with three-chamber air springs which claims to allow a greater range of adjustment between limousine-style ride comfort and sporting levels of body control. Driving assistance systems such as Traffic Assist, City Assist and Blind Spot Warning comes as standard.
Power in the 2020 Bentley Flying Spur comes from twin-turbo W12 engine that is rated at 626hp and 900 Nm of torque. Engine is mated with eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The setup helps the luxury sedan to accelerate from 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds before hitting top speed of 207 mph. Weight distribution has been improved thanks to forward front axle position, enabling better precision, handling, and balance. The new clutched Active All-Wheel Drive system can deliver two-wheel drive to the rear axle and sends torque to the front axle when road conditions and wheel slip require it. 2020 Bentley Flying Spur also brings forth world-first: the three-dimensional diamond quilted leather door inserts. Order for 2020 Bentley Flying Spur will begin from this autumn and first deliveries begins from early 2020.
