Audi has launched 2020 SQ8 which seemed like an eternity. Performance-focused 2020 Audi SQ8 is powered with twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 diesel engine. The same engine is used on SQ7 and offers an output of 429hp and 900 Nm of torque with as low as 1000 rpm. Setup helps the 2020 Audi SQ8 accelerate from stagnant to 62mph in 4.8 mph and hits electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. SQ8’s powertrain includes 48-volt lithium-ion battery pack that powers electric compressor that virtually eliminates all turbo lag.
Buyers of 2020 Audi SQ8 can drive the vehicle on pure electric power at speeds up to 14 mph. Nonetheless, engine isn’t the only factor that distinguishes SQ8 from other models. Audi has also fitted SQ8 with carbon fiber brakes at all four corners as standard and also installed adaptive air suspension and its Drive Select dynamic handling system. Customers can also opt for four-wheel steering along with a sport differential and electromechanical active anti-roll bars. With respect to aesthetics of 2020 Audi SQ8, there are several changes when compared with lesser Q8 models.
2020 Audi SQ8 comes with quad tailpipes, a silver rear diffuser, sporty wheels, ‘S’ badges, and new air intakes. Interior of 2020 SQ8 incorporates custom touches such as stainless-steel pedals, aluminium door sill inlays, embossed S logos along with leather and Alcantara finishes. Audi is also stating that they are working on petrol-powered variant of SQ8 that will be sold in selected markets, including US market. Price of the 2020 SQ8 starts from £80,815.
