Over the years, UK based Ultima have come up with several interesting kit cars. They have revealed tehri latest creation and dubbed it as RS. 2019 Ultima RS will make its public debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed. Just like other Ultima models, it will be offered in different configurations. Leicestershire based car manufacturer has designed RS chassis to accommodate all current LT V8 engines from Chevrolet. Starting range is LT1 with 480hp. If buyers are eager for more powerful alternative, they could look at LT4 from the Z06 (650hp). Then there is also supercharged 6.2-liter LT5 that can be found on ZR1 that is tweaked to deliver 800hp.
For Ultimate Performance pack, buyers can opt for upgrade pack for LT5 that offers 1,200hp. It can easily compete against the best such as LaFerrari with ease. Weight of the 2019 Ultima RS is tipped at just 930kg and it depends on powertrain & selected options. Ultima claims that entry-level LT1-powered version can hit 0-62mph mark in 3.0 seconds before reaching the top speed of 180 mph. Additionally, in LT4 version 0-60mph takes 4.5 seconds whereas 0-100mph takes 5.2 seconds with tops speed reaching 210 mph. Standard LT5 takes 2.3 seconds to hit 60mph whereas takes 4.8 seconds to hit 100mph and top speed exceeds 250mph.
At this point of time, no performance figure has been revealed for the 1,200hp LT5 but it shouldn’t be surprising to any of us to see it fare much better than the aforementioned figures. All 2019 Ultima RS models are equipped with Porsche’s six-speed manual transmission. AP Racing 322 mm discs and four-pot calipers at all four corners are used for braking and comes as standard. Larger 362mm discs with six-piston calipers are available as an option. Other noticeable features in 2019 Ultima RS consist of forged 19-inch lightweight wheels and carbon fiber bodywork. Owner can have their vehicle built in factory or can built themselves along with right and left-hand drive configuration.
