The whole world is eagerly waiting for Bugatti to come with Chiron Super Sport and use it to conquer the top speed record it once had. Amongst all these news surfaces that SSC is also working on the Tuatara. It made its debut at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and is often described as surface-to-surface missile. 2019 SSC Tuatara is powered with 5.9 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that is rated at 1,350 horsepower when run on 91 Octane fuel. When the fuel tank is filled with E85, the output reaches an astronomical figure of 1,750 horsepower.
2019 SSC Tuatara will possess immense power, drag coefficient of 0.279. With the help of lightweight construction, it will be able to hit top speed of 300mph. SSC isn’t the only automaker to be taking part in this endeavor as Koenigsegg and Hennessey are also working on production car that could break 300mph speed barrier. Nonetheless, the current holder of this record is Koenigsegg Agera RS that achieved the figure of 284.55 mph by the end of 2017. Full specification of 2019 Tuatara has yet to be revealed, but testing will end by this year’s May month.
