The all-new 2019 Mercedes-AMG E53 has been announced and it will replace the E43. It will be joining Cabriolet and Coupe and will hit the US market by late 2018. The power in the 2019 Mercedes-AMG E53 comes from new 3.0 liter inline-six turbo engine with EQ boost starter-alternator. It is positioned between internal combustion and gearbox. The combined output of this setup is 429 horsepower and 520Nm of torque. The power is transferred to 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system through 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The complete setup helps the 2019 Mercedes-AMG E53 to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 4.4 seconds before hitting the electronically limited top speed of 155mph. The E53 is easily distinguishable from other E-Class model by its hood as now it has two power drones. Other noticeable styling feature in E53 comprises of high-gloss chrome twin tailpipe trim elements, and new diffuser. There is also an optional 20 inch AMG alloys that features twin five-spoke design. Mercedes-AMG claims that E53 4MATIC+ gives an impressive 32.5mph on average in UK whereas it emits 200g/km of CO2.
Interior of 2019 Mercedes-AMG E53 has AMG Performance Seats with AMG-specific upholstery. It is available with AMG Carbon Fiber trim, ambient lighting, heated and ventilated seats, Mercedes Widescreen Cockpit design and several others. Another most interesting part of the 2019 Mercedes-AMG E53 is its new AMG Performance steering wheel which is finished in black Nappa leather with red 12 o’clock marking.
