A new teaser image of the 2019 Mazda3 has been released. It was confirmed public debut at upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show which is scheduled by the end of this month. Doors for media will open on 28th November and no one should be surprised if details are revealed few days before that. 2019 Mazda3 will debut as four-door sedan and five-door hatchback. Detail regarding the new Mazda’s vehicle is scarce bit we know that it will adopt more mature interpretation of Kodo design language.
Japan based automaker said that 2019 models will mark the beginning of new generation of Mazda cars that promises to deliver “new dimensions of driving joy to customers around the world”. 2019 Mazda3 will use new SkyActiv Vehicle Architecture that is said to offer stronger and better ride quality. Mazda further added that new platform “enables people to make the most of their natural sense of balance” which in simpler terms means better and intuitive handling characteristics. The new model will also incorporate latest SkyActive engines. Without divulging into details, Mazda said that new powertrains offer responsive control of speed in any driving situation.
At this point we know that one of the new powertrain would be SkyActiv-X gasoline engine that features Spark Controlled Compression Ignition. It is expected that 2.0 liter engine will offer 190 hp and 230 Nm of torque. The latest teaser image reveals that hatchback would take cues from the Kai Concept. Sedan will follow the traditional path and won’t budge from it. Interior of the 2019 Mazda3 will be influenced from Kai study. 2019 Mazda3 will go on sale globally from first half of 2019.
