Mazda has announced the specification of the new 2019 MX-5 Miata which is all set of Japanese launch on 26th of July. Under the hood of 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata, it is powered with 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G engine and the company claims that it has been drastically revised. The engine is equipped with new cylinder heads, revised pistons, optimized air intake, and different connecting rods. Mazda said that these changes have been made not just to increase eth performance of MX-5 Miata but also to reduce weight. 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata will go on sale from next month that starts from ¥2,554,200 and range-topping version MX-5 Miata RF stars from ¥3,812,400.
Mazda has been quite reserved regarding the output of the engine output but with updated engine it will produce an extra 15% or more horsepower. In addition to it, the torque has been increased as well and now stands in revolution range that increases from 6,800 rpm to 7,500rpm. Mazda didn’t disclose the specific output but the data sheet revealed that it will have an output of 181 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque. If the data is correct about the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata then it is significant improvement over the 2018 variant that offers 155 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque in US.
The engine is more powerful but also more fuel efficient and eco-friendly. The 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-G engine is improved with combustion technology for the development of 2.0 liter engine. The upgraded engine gives 130 horsepower and 152Nm of torque. It also improves fuel efficiency and is environment friendly. Other changes in the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata include new telescopic steering wheel and a revised TFT display. Safety equipment such as Advanced Smart City Brake Support and a Lane Departure Warning System can also be found. Customer can opt for brown soft top, tan leather interior and 16-inch aluminum wheels with black metallic accents.
