Customers planning to purchase small crossover then we would like to draw your attention towards 2019 Lexus UX. Its North American debut is scheduled at 2018 New York Auto Show. Lexus Exec, Chika Kako said that the new UX crossover will appeal to people under the age group of 30. He also said that they have designed it for modern urban explorer who seeks fresh take on luxury driving. 2019 Lexus UX is built upon Global Architecture Platform (GA-C). The same platform can be found on Toyota Prius, C-HR, Avensis, Auris, and Corolla.
2019 Lexus UX will be offered with two powertrains for US customers. One is the UX 200 that is front wheel driven whereas the second is UX 250h with eAWD. The latter mentioned also comes with 2.0 liter gasoline engine along with new fourth generation hybrid drive system. The total output of the vehicle stands at 176 horsepower. The entry-level is offered with only gas engine and thus the output stays at 168 horsepower when is mated with CVT gearbox. For UX 200, the average combined rating is 33mpg and UX 250h is at 38mpg.
With respect to technology, 2019 Lexus UX comes with Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa as standard. The crossover also inculcates Lexus Safety System+ and through it, the company offers Lane Tracing Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Automatic High Beams, Road Sign Assist and Pre-Collision System. Pre-Collision System helps in detecting pedestrians at night. 2019 Lexus UX 200 and 250h will hit the production line by this fall. The sale of it will begin from December. Incidentally, this is the first model from Lexus which is offered via subscription service.
