The highly anticipated 2019 Jeep Cherokee made its US debut at Detroit Auto Show. The first images were seen back in December. The new updated model is much more appealing than the outgoing crossover. Jeep have discarded front fascia from the current model that includes its headlights. It gives way to traditional and much more appealing design. 2019 Jeep Cherokee has new sleek headlights and just like the Compass models. Apart from the front, the rear end of the vehicle has also gone through some changes.
There is a new taillight with LED accents along with blacked out bumper and revised tailgate. Roof rails have gone through drastic change as well. 2019 Jeep Cherokee will come with three different engine options. The entry-level is the 2. 4 liter inline-four Tigershark engine that give 180hp of output. New addition to the range is the turbocharged 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine that comes from new Wrangler. It gives 270 horsepower of output and 295 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, there is 3.2 liter Pentastar V6 engine that gives 271hp of output.
The new 2.0 liter turbocharged engine incorporates direct injection, stop-start technology, and lightweight materials in the pistons and camshafts. All these changes improve its fuel efficiency but the EPA figures have not been revealed yet. 2019 Jeep Cherokee will be available to users in three trim levels that are Latitude, Overland, and Trailhawk respectively. Latitude is the affordable one and its pricing start from $25,000. Overland and Trailhawk trims will cost customer $40,000 when opted with numerous accessories. 2019 Jeep Cherokee will hit US market in coming months.
